Fun Filled Weekend

We have had a fun filled weekend.  Tomorrow it will be back to the regular stuff.  We usually go to the beach on Thursday night after Thanksgiving, but this year we decided to stay home and do a project.  The project was to clean out the garage, paint the floor, and then put stuff back in an organized way.  Most of this was accomplished, still just a few things left to get back into the garage and organized.  Along with the work we also managed to have some fun.

On Friday we went out to an early dinner and then came home for movie night.  We watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua and ate popcorn.  John Mac wanted the popcorn and Amelia's sippy cup.

On Saturday we worked most of the day putting things back into the garage, but that afternoon the girls and I took a trip on the golf cart down to the pond to feed the fish and to the barn and pasture to visit and feed the donkeys.  We invited our new neighbors to come along.  We have 2 ponds and a pasture and barn on my dad's land that we get to enjoy.  We have so much fun down there.  It's right behind our house a couple hundred yards through a field and into the woods.  My dad and his sister bought 2 donkeys this summer, Doc and Nellie.  Nellie was expecting and gave birth to G.Willie on Oct. 13, 2009.  They are so sweet.  Amelia was so tired that she fell asleep in Daniel's recliner watching TV around 7:15pm.

On Sunday the majority of us played hookie from church, but Edi did go with my dad.  I was up for a little over 2 hours in the middle of the night with Amelia coughing.  She just could not sleep.  After Edi got home from church we went to a local park and played Disc Golf and played on the playground.  We then went down to the pond for a hot dog and marshmallow roast that my dad planned.  My dad, his friend Bob, my brother, my niece, and our family had a wonderful time.  The kids love being together.  We missed my mom who was on her way home from the beach with her sister.   I took a lot of pictures today, so get ready to scroll and scroll and scroll.......

What a wonderful weekend!!!!

Our Thanksgiving Festivities

We spent the day with Daniel's parents and his mom's side of the family.  It was a wonderful day with way too much food.  But boy was it good!  I love leftover turkey.  John Mac had his first taste of turkey and a turkey bone.  He enjoyed it, he really liked Granny's dressing.  He had some yesterday and today.  It was so nice to be around family. The girls played with their cousins all day and we hardly saw them because they were either outside or in their room at Granny and Granddaddy's playing.  Here are a few pictures from the day.
