Major Panic Attack Today

So today I ended up staying at home and not working because my babysitter's sister is in the hospital.  Please say a prayer for Mrs. Laura, Mrs. Peggy and their family.  This morning around 10am John Mac was watching an Einstein movie and playing with the plastic food and picnic basket, so I decided I could go to the bathroom alone since he seemed occupied, well I was wrong.  After being out of the room and behind one closed door for about 4 minutes he got to Daniel's laptop.  Daniel has learned that he must put the laptop away when it's not in use, but for some reason he must have forgotten last night and I hadn't paid much attention to the fact that it was on the table beside Daniel's recliner or I would have put it away.  Anyway, he not only started the computer up he also proceeded to take off approximately 23 of it's keys.  There were pieces everywhere; down the side of the recliner, on the floor, EVERYWHERE.  I took it from him and put him in his room while I looked for all the pieces.  I thought it was destroyed, the little bitty black plastic pieces that fit together under the keys were off and they looked broken to me at first inspection.  I was in shear panic thinking that it could not be fixed and how could we afford a new laptop if I had to go there.  I called my brother and he came right over and with some time and effort and a little more help from John Mac we were able to figure out the intricate way the pieces fit together and get it all put back together.  I did have to go online to find a laptop keypad layout because it is not exactly like my keyboard on the regular computer.  So about 1/2 way through putting the pieces back on I was calm enough to take a picture and then of course I had to get a picture of my brother the hero and my son the little pistol!  He is a Pure-T-Mess and then some, but you can't help but love him, he's so darn cute!

Pink Sponge Rollers

Edi has had these pink sponge rollers forever and I've been meaning to try them in her hair like my mom used to do when I was little.  So Wednesday night after her shower we put them in her hair and she slept in them.  I just knew her hair as going to be so cute when she woke up on Thursday morning and I was right, however she was not liking all the curls.  She was way too concerned about what everyone at school would say.  Oh well, I fixed it pretty and she wore it to school much to her disapproval, but when she got home she told me how everyone thought it was really pretty and then she felt better.  No matter how much we tell our kids that others opinions(how we dress, look, etc.) about us should not matter that pressure to fit in is always there.
