Our Christmas Decorations

Here are some pictures from around the house of some of our decorations.  This year Daniel boycotted the outdoor decorations so the only thing outside is the wreath on the front door.  We usually have wreaths on all the front windows and garland with fruit on the porch railings and lights to illuminate the house.  Oh well, maybe we'll do the outside next year.

Our artificial tree with white lights
We used to only have a real tree with the big old timey colored bulbs, but about 3-4 years ago we bought this tree and now we switch off every other year between this tree and a real tree.  Actually, this year we were suppose to have a real tree, but with the baby I opted to use the artificial tree instead.  I was afraid he may like touching the big colored lights too much and they can get hot.  We call the real tree my tree and the artificial tree Daniel's tree.

My Angel Collection
My mom started this collection for me when I was a child and as you can see I have a lot.

My Christmas Tree Collection
My mom started this collection too.

Our kid friendly Nativity
I bought this from One Step Ahead this Fall for the kids.  I have not been able to find a nativity I really like and all the ones I do find are outrageously priced and aren't kid friendly.  I thought this one was really cute.

Our Baldwin Brass Ornament Collection
My grandmother Cleo started this collection for all the 6 grandchildren and their spouses and children in 1997.  These are the ones Daniel, Edi, Amelia, and I have collected since then.  Amber has hers at her house now and John Mac will receive his first one this year.  My grandmother passed away this past June, but she had already bought the ornaments for this Christmas and next.  Myself or my mom plan on continuing the tradition. (This picture doesn't show up very well small, so click to enlarge)

Decorations throughout the house
I have a lot of the kid's Christmas artwork on the kitchen cabinets, but I didn't take pictures of those, maybe I will later.
