Fondue Night

    Edi got the American Girl Doll named Julie this year for Christmas.  It was her first AG Doll and she has really enjoyed her.  We were looking through a new AG catalog today and saw that you could buy a Fondue Set for Julie.  Daniel decided that doing Fondue for dinner would be fun.  It's been a while since we did it, I know Edi was younger and Amelia and of course John Mac had never done it.  We have two sets, one is electric that Daniel's parents bought with Green Stamps from Thomas Walgreen's before he was born and the other my mom bought for him a number of years ago that uses sterno.  Daniel and Edi went out this afternoon and bought all the things we needed; chicken, steak, mushrooms, strawberries, bananas, pineapple, marshmallows, and chocolate.  We put oil in the electric set to cook the meats and mushrooms for the dinner part of the evening.  The girls had a blast and John Mac enjoyed his share of the food too, especially the mushrooms.  We then moved onto the dessert, it was a huge hit and John Mac ate his weight in bananas and strawberries.  Amelia had just had a bath and had to come out of her robe when she started dropping chocolate and ended up with chocolate everywhere.  It was hilarious!!!  I love these wonderful Family Memories!!!
