Early Risers

Thursday Night's sleep was a little less restful than normal around our house.  John Mac woke me up crying around 10:30pm, but after a few minutes he was able to put himself back to sleep.  Around Midnight Amelia got up to tell me there were yellow and black bugs crawling on her walls and she was scared, I was able to get her back to sleep fairly quickly.  John Mac then decides to wake up again around 3am and was screaming at the top of his lungs, he was not going back to sleep without a little comfort first. So, I got him up, changed his diaper, got his lovie beary and pacey, fixed him a little milk and we rocked in Daniel's recliner for about 10 minutes and then he was ready for bed again, no problem.  At a little before 4am after I had just fallen back to sleep Amelia comes into the room telling me she's wet.  We had forgotten to put a pull-up on that night.  They ended up in their PJs early on Thursday night, so I told her she could wait to put her pull-up on just before she went to bed, oh well, we forgot.  After getting new PJs on and getting everything off her bed, I fixed her a spot on the floor in her sleeping bag, which she loves to sleep in and then she was back to sleep.  My clock then went off at 6:10am and as I snuggled down deep into the covers to snooze a few minutes longer before starting the day, the little man woke once again screaming and after a few minutes I knew he was not settling back down, so I went to get him so we could rock and he would hopefully go back to sleep.  He usually sleeps until 8am or later.  When I got to his room it was pith black; his nightlight had burned out, poor baby was scared I think.  The girls are typically early risers, but on school days I usually have to wake them up by 7am, other days they are usually up before then.  But John Mac's crying woke them up, so I let them all pile into our bed to watch Thomas the Train around 6:30am while I began getting ready for the day.  They looked so cute all snuggled in our bed, I just had to take a picture.  This morning both girls were up well before 7am and John Mac slept until 9:15am.  They are so precious even in the midnight hours!  We are so Blessed!!!
